Local Transport

Arriving by plane?
You can get to the city center by bus, tram and taxi from just outside the main terminal building. The 24 hour Airlink bus will transport you to the City Centre within half an hour. Ask the driver to advise you on the best stop to connect with a bus to Portobello (usually Haymarket). Alternatively, take the tram to the York Place terminus and then jump on a no.26 bus. It’s worth getting the Bus Tracker App for the tram as well as buses. Expect a taxi to Portobello to cost around £30 from the airport. Taxi info
