Arriving by plane?
From just outside the main terminal building at Edinburgh Airport, the 24 hr Airlink bus will transport you to the City Centre within half an hour. Ask the driver to advise you on the best stop to connect with a bus to Portobello. Alternatively, take the tram to the York Place terminus and then jump on a no.26 bus.
Expect a taxi to Portobello to cost around £30 from the airport.
Arriving by train?

Waverley is the main station for Edinburgh at the east end of Princes Street, while Haymarket lies at the west end. From either station, it's a short walk to a bus stop for onward travel to Portobello.

The nearest train stations to Portobello are at Brunstane and Newcraighall, connecting with Waverely, Haymarket, South Gyle and the Fife Circle.
