Arriving by plane?

From just outside the main terminal building at Edinburgh Airport, the 24 hr Airlink bus will transport you to the City Centre within half an hour. Ask the driver to advise you on the best stop to connect with a bus to Portobello. Alternatively, take the tram to the York Place terminus and then jump on a no.26 bus.

Expect a taxi to Portobello to cost around £30 from the airport.

Trains to/from Edinburgh

Waverley is the main station for Edinburgh at the east end of Princes Street, while Haymarket lies at the west end. From either station, it's a short walk to a bus stop for onward travel to Portobello.

City Car Club

City Car Club currently has 3 cars located in Portobello. One is on Portobello High Street outside the Doctor's Surgery, another is outside Portobello Library and the third is in Windsor Place. Visit their site for more information.
