Big Beach Busk
Portobello Promenade
Saturday 28 Aug 12.00 pm -> 22.00 pm
The Big Beach Busk. Porty Prom runs for about a mile along Edinburgh's sea front. A mile long stretch of excellent beach with a couple of great pubs (the Dalriada and Espy are both good music venues) and the Beach House coffee shop. By my reckoning 80 buskers at 20m intervals would give us an uninterrupted mile of music.
Starting at noon, Saturday August the 28th - with no plans for stopping. We can take to the beach when it gets dark and get a bonfire going.
If you're a musician, mime, juggler, statue or robot sign up and come down to the beach. All performers, all day and all good fun.
There is no intention of this becoming a heavily organised festival event. This is fun. No rules. No conditions. Just a massive bunch of musicians and performer having good times on a great stretch of beach.
See Facebook group for more details.
